Soon, we’ll have a brand new PKing hotspot in the wilderness at the Chaos Temple which will feature Undead Pirates, a new monster with a very good droptable.
As per usual, this article aims to up-date you on everything we know so far.
Undead Pirates were first mentioned in a January 20th newspost, and have recently been ‘greenlight polled’ and officially announced in the February 29th newspost.
Location: Chaos Temple
Undead Pirates will be found at the Chaos Temple (not the Chaos Altar, which we use to train prayer, but the area just east of the Ferox Enclave).
This is at around level 9 – 15 Wilderness and can easily be accessed via either a Burning Amulet (Chaos Temple) or Ring of Dueling (Ferox Enclave).
The Chaos Temple is nothing new, it has always been there and is overrun with Elder Chaos Druids (lvl 129).
And here’s what it will look like when the Undead-pirates are released!
By adding Undead Pirates to the area, Jagex hopes to bring this multi-combat zone in the Wilderness back to live.
It’s a great update for pures who have been craving a good moneymaker in low-level wildy.
Rewards
The rewards for Undead Pirates, are currently being polled, so don’t forget to vote!
I’ll sum-up their current state, and update this article and when any of the rewards are confirmed.
Chivalry Prayer Scroll
Chivalry Prayer is already in the game, it’s unlocked at 60 Prayer AND 65 Defence and used by literally no one because Piety (70 Pryaer) is simply better.
Consuming the Chivalry Prayer Scroll, allows ‘pures’ (e.g. Zekers and 1-defence) to use the Chivalry Prayer WITHOUT the 65 Defence requirement.
This scroll (if added) will be made tradeable, and probably worth a good sum of money.
Currently, Chivalry has the following bonus: 20% Defence, 18% Strength, 15% attack.
Jagex is also polling a change for the Chivalry prayer with two proposals:
- Option A: Give Chivalry 15% Defence, 18% Strength, and 20% Attack.
- Option B: 20% Defence, 18% Strength, and 18% Attack.
Adamant Seeds
Mithril Seeds are commonly used in PKing scenarios to move your character 1 tile towards the west.
Adamant Seeds, a drop from undead pirates, will push your character 1 tile towards the east.
By adding Adamant Seeds to the game, their usecase becomes ‘less predictable’.
Blip Blocking Scroll
-The Oldschool team promises the name is just a placeholder-
This consumable scroll, permanentely prevents your character from being teleported by monsters. This applies to the Elder Chaos Druids who roam at the Chaos Temple, but also at other monsters such as Abyssal Demons.
Consuming the scroll will make your grind at Undead Pirates (and by extension Abyssal Demons) smoother.
Wrap Up
That’s all we know so far about the upcoming Undead Pirates. They are set to release sometime in Spring 2024 (date unknown) and should be a pretty good moneymaker for pures! Both in terms of grinding out the undead pirates, and PKing!
