The Knights Sword is a F2P Quest in OSRS that gives a massive Smithing Boost as a reward. This quest is quite short and holds next to no requirements so it’s a must-complete for every player.

Why Complete The Knights Sword Quest?
The main reason players complete the Knights Sword quest is that the experience reward at the end can boost your Smithing Level from 1 to 29. Therefore, for efficiency, players oftentimes do a Knights Sword very early in the game to skip training the initial levels of Smithing.

Recommendations
Everyone:
- Combat level 20+ (you will need to tank hits from lvl 53 ice giants)
- (1) Teleport to Varrock
- (2) Teleports to Falador
- Food & Armour
P2P:
- Graceful outfit or other weight-reducing gear
- (2) Pest Control Teleport / or Rimmington teleport

1. Start in Falador Castle
 | Use a Falador Teleport tablet or Falador Teleport spell. F2P players who don’t have the magic requirements will have to run here. |
Start the quest by speaking with the Squire in Falador Castle.

2. Travel to Varrock
| Use a Varrock Teleport tablet or Varrock Teleport spell. F2P players can use a Chronicle. |
Speak with Reldo in the library of the Varrock Castle.

3. Travel to Mudskipper Point
| Use a Pest Control teleport (to get to Port Sarim), teleport to Rimmington, or Fairy Ring A-I-Q. (F2P players can walk here from Falador or Draynor Village) |
Speak with Thurgo.
Offer a redberry pie first, and then ask him to make a special sword for you.
Dialogue: 2 – 1
Thurgo wants to help you, but he needs to know what the sword looks like.
4. Return to Falador Castle
Talk to the squire again.
After speaking with the Squire, head up the ladder in the eastern tower of the castle.
On the next floor, look for the staircase that leads to Sir Vyvin’s room.
Search his cupboard for a portrait (make sure he doesn’t see you).
5. Return to Mudskipper Point
| Requirements: | Don’t forget your iron bars and pickaxe. |
Speak with Thurgo again and hand him the portrait you stole from Sir Vyvin.

Next, enter the trapdoor on the hill behind Thurgo’s shed.
Follow the path as illustrated below.
Mine the Blurite ore. (You need 1 for the quest, 2 if you plan to do the Falador Easy Diary)
If an ice warrior attacks you, run behind the crystals to de-aggro them and then wait for them to leave before trying to mine the rocks again.
Return to Thurgo with the Blurite ore and your iron bars. He’ll give you a Sword.

6. Return to Falador Castle
Give The Knights Sword to the Squire to complete your quest!

Congratulations. You’ve finished The Knight Sword. The rewards are the following:

- 12,725 Smithing Experience
