OSRS Temple of the Eye Guide (Quest Guide)

In this OSRS Temple of the Eye Quest Guide, we’ll go through all the steps to complete the quest.

Temple of the Eye Quest story & info

The Temple of the Eye Quest Guide is a requirement to start playing the Guardians of the Rift minigame.

Furthermore, Temple of the Eye is recommended in our 1-99 Runecrafting Guide as it will instantly bump you from level 10 Runecrafting to level 27 Runecrafting.

Quest Requirements

• Highlights NPCs you need to talk to

• Shows the next location in the quest on your map

If you want to install it, you can install the Quest Helper directly from your Plugin Hub on Runelite.

Temple of the Eye Guide

Quest Start

Speak with Wizard Persten, in-between the PVP Arena and Al Kharid gate to start the Temple of the Eye quest.

Dialogue: 2-1

(I used teleport to PVP Arena via Dueling Ring)

P.S. This Quest Guide was completed on our GIM account with the 117HD Graphics enabled.

Also, it’s fun little jokes like these that stop me from skipping dialogues in osrs. 🙂

After a long dialogue, Persten will give you the Eye Amulet.

Helping out Herbert, the Mage of Zamorak

Next, teleport to Varrock and make your way to the Chaos Temple in southeast Varrock.

Here, speak with the Mage of Zamorak. Dialogue: 1

Next, leave the temple, run a bit north, and speak with the Tea Seller.

Dialogue: 3

He reveals he’s been cheating Herbert a bit.

Now return to Herbert (the Mage of Zamorak) and give him his cup of ‘strong’ tea.

Dialogue: 1-1

He will teleport you to the Abbys (take it, you don’t have to go through the wilderness).

Here, speak with the Dark Mage.

Dialogue: 3-1

Okay, the next part you aren’t going to enjoy very much but I promise it’s not difficult.

A bunch of Runic Energies will pop up and you have to interact with each of them until one turns white.

Then, you have to find the next one that turns white. (remember which one was first!)

There is one correct order for each player (random!) and you have to find yours.

It’s basically trial and error until you made all of them white.

Here’s what my order looked like: (again, different for everyone)!

Once all of them are white, speak with the Dark Mage again.

He will hand you an Abyssal Incantation.

Help from the Wizards

Teleport to PVP Arena via dueling ring and speak with Wizard Persten (Quest Start).

Persten will teleport you to the Wizards tower.

Go down to the basement of the Wizards Tower and speak with Archmage Sedridor.

Dialogue: 2

Next, go up two floors and speak with Wizard Traiborn.

Dialogue: 2

Now speak with Apprentice Felix.

Then, speak with Apprentice Tamara.

And finally, speak with Apprentice Cordelia.

Afterward, speak with Traiborn again.

Dialogue: 2

Puzzle solution: The answer to his question: ‘What is Thingummywhut?‘ is 11.

Return to Archmage Sedridor in the basement.

Speak with him.

A cutscene will start and the gate will be opened.

Inside the Temple of the Eye, speak with Apprentice Felix first.

Then, talk to Apprentice Tamara.

Next, talk to Apprentice Cordelia.

And finally, speak with Wizard Persten.

Another cutscene will start.

Guardians of the Rift

The next part functions as the tutorial for the Guardians of the Rift minigame.

Since this is a tutorial, A yellow arrow will show you exactly what to do.

You don’t have to follow this guide text below as the arrow will guide you, but it’s there if you get stuck.

1. First, speak with Apprentice Cordelia
2. Next, speak with Apprentice Felix
3. Take the weak cell from the table
4. Speak with Apprentice Tamara
5. Place the cell in the inactive cell tile next to Tamara
6. Speak with Felix again
7. Take another weak cell
8. Then click on the assemble essence pile
9. Take another weak cell and click on the other assemble essence pile
10. Speak with Tamara again
11. Next, mine some guardian remains
12. Then, speak with Felix
13. Work at the workbench behind Felix to turn the remains into Guardian Essence
14. Speak with Tamara agin
15. Take an uncharged cell from the table next to Felix
16. Enter the mind portal
17. Craft at the mind altar, then exit
18. Speak with Tamara again
19. Place-cell on the weak cell tile
20. Next, power up the Great Guardian
21. Mine some more guardian remains
22. Then, work at the work bench to create guardian remains again
23. Take another uncharged cell
24. And enter the Guardans of Water portal
25. Craft at the Water altar and then power up the great guardian again
26. Speak with Tamara
27. Assemble another Essence Guardian (next to Felix)
28. Speak with Tamara again
29. Mine some more Guardian Remains
30. Work at workbench
31. Take another uncharged cell
32. Use portal talisman on the guardian of water
33. Craft at altar
34. Talk to Tamara again
35. Place cell on the weak cell tile
36. Power up the great guardian

And finally, speak with Sedridor to finish the quest.
