In this OSRS Swan Song Quest Guide, we’ll go through all the steps to complete the quest.

This guide is a part of our OSRS Optimal Quest Guide.

Swan Song Quest story & info

Storyline

Sea Trolls are attacking the Fishing Colony and they need your help. However, they don’t really trust you have the ability to save them, so you have to recruit the Wise Old Man to carry you.

Extra Info

You have to fight a ton of sea trolls in this quest but the fights are SUPER EASY if you use overhead prayers.

After finishing the Swan Song Quest, you can fish monkfish at the Fishing Colony.

You also get a ton of experience rewards, particularly, 50K fishing experience.

Swan Song Quest Guide

Quest Start

Items: 10 lava runes, 10 mist runes, 5 blood runes

Speak with Herman Carranos in front of the Piscatoris Fishing Colony. Dialogue: 1-1-2

You can get here by using Fairy Ring code A-K-Q

Teleport to Draynor Village and speak with the Wise Old Man.

Battle At the Colony

Items: Combat gear (Melee/Ranged/Prayer Pot/Food)

Grab some combat gear from the Draynor bank.

Return to the Piscatoris Fishing Colony (Fairy Ring: A-K-Q).

Here, speak with the Wise Old Man.

Next, a cut scene will start. And then you will have to fight a bunch of Sea Trolls.

The trolls are level 79 and don’t hit through melee prayer.

Now go inside the Fishing Colony and speak with Herman in the Eastern building.

Repairing the colony

Items: log, tinderbox, 5 iron bars, hammer & combat gear

Speak with Franklin Caranos at the Entrance of the Fishing Colony.

Next, go inside the building behind Franklin.

Use your log on the Firebox. Then light it with a tinderbox.

Next use 5 iron bars on the metal press.

You will now get 5 iron sheets.

Next, run to the western side of the colony walls until you see damaged walls.

Repair the broken walls by using the iron sheets on them.

Now talk to Arnold Lydspor in the Fishing Colony Bank.

He will give you a fishing net.

Now fish at least 5 monkfish from the fishing spot.

Kill the sea trolls that pop up after every caught fish.

Now cook the monkfish on the range in the fishing colony.

You need 5 cooked monkfish, so if you burn some, fish some more and cook them again.

Once you have 5 monkfish, speak with Arnold.

Afterward, speak with Franklin.

And finally, speak with Herman and the Wise Old Man in the eastern building.

Raising an Army

Items: 7 bones, pot and pot lid (or airtight pot) + Combat Gear | p.s. NO SARADOMIN ITEMS

Teleport to Yanille by using the Nightmare Zone Minigame teleport in your Grouping Menu. (MUST EXIT THE FISHING COLONY FIRST)

Speak with Wizard Frumscone in the Yanille Wizard’s guild. (staircase down) Dialogue: 2

Travel to Port Sarim.

Speak with Malignus Fortifer. Dialogue: 2

He will give you a brown apron. WEAR IT.

Next, run to the Farming Guild. Speak with the Master Crafter.

Use your pot lit on a pot and speak with Malignus Fortifer once more to receive your Bone Seeds.

P.S. if you are wearing a Saradomin item, he will refuse to help you.

Final Boss

Items: bone seeds (from Malignus Fortifer) Combat gear, prayer potions, food

Speak with Herman to start the fight.

Next, a cut scene will start. After the cut scene, fight the Sea Troll Queen. Use protect from magic to absorb most of the damage.

Once the Sea Troll Queen is killed, return to Herman to finish the quest.
