In this OSRS Sheep Shearer’s Guide, we’ll go through all the steps to complete the quest.
This guide is a part of our OSRS Optimal Quest Guide.
Sheep Shearer story & info
Sheep Shearer is a simple quest in which you are being paid to shear the sheep in the Lumbridge Sheep pen. You’ll need to shear 20 sheep and give the balls of wool to Fred in order to complete the quest.
However, just like in Cook’s assistant, this quest can be bought beforehand. If you want to speed this quest up, you can buy the balls of wool from the Grand Exchange. Or just shear the sheep yourself, it doesn’t take long at all.

Sheep Shearer Guide
Quest Start
Speak with Fred The Farmer to start the quest.
He’s a lovely chap who will pay you to shear his sheep for him.
However, he’s not too bright as you can just arrive with 20 balls of wool and finish the quest right then and there by speaking to him twice.

Shearing the sheep
If you do plan to be a good adventurer (or you simply have to, because you are an ironman), you can go into the sheep pen and start shearing his sheep.

Do this until you have 20 balls of wool in your inventory.
Return to Fred
Once you have your 20 balls of wool, give them to Fred to complete the quest.
