On August 3rd of 2021, Jagex officially revealed the 3rd raids dungeon called Tombs of Amascut.
When is Raids 3: Tombs of Amascut, when is it coming to osrs and what exactly does it entail? We’re here to tell you everything we know so far.
Raids 3 Tombs of Amascut Release: When Is It Coming To Osrs?
Raids 3 Tombs of Amascut is scheduled to be released in early 2022.
Hopefully, the Old School team will be able to fulfill this release date.
What is Raids 3: Tombs of Amascut?
Tombs of Amascut is the third Raids dungeon within OSRS. Right after Theatre of Blood (Raids 2) and Chambers of Xerics (Raids 1).
The Tombs of Amascut will be playable with a group size of maximum 8 players and will be based on two levels.
The first level (upper level) will contain 4 different bosses that you must defeat in order to contain access to the lower level.
The lower level will contain 2 bosses (Twin Boss) which you must defeat in order to drive out Amascut and claim your rewards.
What’s new and interesting about Raids 3: Tombs of Amascut compared to COX and TOB is that you will be able to change the difficulty of the raid based on invocations.
Invocations will allow groups of players to BUFF or DEBUFF the raid in certain ways.
For example, you’ll be able to change the bosses’ damage, health, and so on.
You will also be able to nerf your own team for example by disabling a certain spellbook.
The more difficult you make the raid, the higher the reward you receive!
P.s. Tombs of Amascut will NOT be a safe death for Hardcore Ironman accounts.
How Tombs of Amascut Will Work
Inside Raids 3, there will be two levels: the upper and the lower level.
You will start the raid at the upper level.
The upper level will contain 4 challenges which must be completed to gain access to the lower level.
Each challenge (also called a path), will be themed after an avatar.
You’ll be able to take on challenges in the order of your choice.
Each path will contain a boss fight.
Each completed path will also change the raid so choose your paths wisely!
Once you reach the lower level, you will have to defeat two bosses called the Twin Boss to complete the raid.
Both bosses will attack the group simultanously.
Once the Twin Boss has been defeated, you’ll receive your rewards.
Raids 3: The Tombs of Amascut rewards
Tombs of Amascut will of course have some exciting rewards just like its predecessors have had.
On the keynote, the J-mods revealed 3 upcoming weapon rewards:

The video below is a 1-minute clip going over the new rewards.
Here’s an overview if you don’t want to watch:
New Magic Wand: Tumeken’s Heka
The new magic wand will be called the Tumeken’s heka.

Here’s how it will work:
- The first three attacks will have an attacks speed of 2.
- The fourth attack will be slower but more powerful with a speed of 4.
- Fast attacks will scale 50% of the players magic strength bonus.

Ranged Armour with Low Life Effects: Masori Armour Set
The new ranged armour reward will be called the Masori Armour set and will consist out of three pieces:

- Masori Amulet.
Each piece will have an effect called low life effects which increases the ranged accuracy and strength when the wearer is below 40% hitpoints. (similar to how D’harok’s works)
The amulet’s job is to passively drain the wearers HP to below 40%.

Best in Slot Mage Shield: Ward of Elidinis
The best in slot magic off-hand will be rewarded in a broken state. To repair the shield, you will have to use an Arcane sigil and soul runes.
Once repaired, you will have the most powerful magic off-hand in osrs.
This will be the first magic shield that comes with magic strength bonus.
Repairing the shield will require an Arcane sigil, 10,000 soul runes and 90 smithing + prayer. Players who cannot repair the shield themselves, can pay 20M gp to Abbot Langley in the Edgeville Monastery to do it for them.
